Dhikala forest lodge is run and managed by forest department under Corbett national park, it is located in the core area of Corbett national park. The entry gate for Dhikala is Dhangadi gate. You have to show your permits to forest guards here at this point.
Dhikala forest lodge is 30 kms from Dhangadi gate, and it will take around 01 Hr to 01 Hr 15 Mins to cover this distance. This journey from Dhangadi gate to Dhikala itself is full of adventures, you have to cross dense sal forest and Ramganga River with several seasonal rivers, the animals you are most likely to spot while going to Dhikala are herds of spotted deer, Barking deer, Sambhar, Barasinga, Elephants, and Hyena, Fox, Monitor Lizard and even Tigers also.

Dhikala forest lodge is operated by forest department and is located deep inside Corbett national park. Dhikala can be reached from Dhangadi gate after showing the permits to forest guards at this point.

On arrival at Dhikala Rest house, check-in and after lunch proceed for a jeep safari in the park.
Overnight at Dhikala Forest Rest House
Morning jeep safari for wildlife viewing. Return to the lodge around 10:00 am and time for breakfast. After breakfast time for relaxation or you can go for watch tower or you can have a walk within the reserve area. Time for lunch. After lunch once again time for afternoon open jeep safari. Dinner and overnight stay at the rest house.
Overnight at Dhikala Forest Rest House
Early morning, you will proceed for morning jeep safari in the grasslands of Dhikala, Corbett national park. After breakfast move out of jungle via Dhangari gate. En route you will visit crocodile point and high bank. Drop at Ramnagar, depart Jim Corbett National park with sweet memories of this safari.

Winter : Temperature reaches to minimum 4ÌŠC in morning and evening while the days are pleasant and sunny. In the upper ranges where leopards can be spotted, the weather is colder and the nights are also colder. Winter season is the best time to enjoy sightseeing in Jim Corbett National Park – birds chirping and singing, animals enjoying the day sun and the chilling cold of winter nights. All five gates of Jim Corbett Park open from 15th November as the winter gears up.
Summer : Summer months March to mid June, the weather becomes gradually hot reaching to maximum 42ÌŠC temperature. Till 15th June, all the gates of Jim Corbett National Park are open and it is a good time to catch glimpses of the animals. Early summer is the best time for park visit as it is not too hot during the day, cool during the nights and animals can also be abundantly seen in the jungle. In the late summer, heat and thunderstorm rises and tourists may find difficult to tolerate extreme heat.
Monsoon : Only Jhirna zone of Jim Corbett National Park remains open during the monsoon season. Tourists who want to avoid the crowd and enjoy the greenery offered by monsoon in Jim Corbett can plan the tour. Tour during monsoon is a cautious trekking in Jim Corbett. Rainfall will be a part of the trek and the tourists or trekkers must be aware to step cautiously. Corbett Park is 1400 to 2800 mm. Temperature is cool and pleasing during monsoon month’s mid-June to mid-September.
Spring : Jhirna zone which remains open all round the year is the only zone open during spring season to allow the tourists enjoy the serene beauty of nature and experience the abundant joy during mid-September till mid-November. Temperature quiet rises during the day time but the enchanting nature overlaps the heat.
