A 3 Days Tiger Safari in Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve located in the Chandrapur District of Maharashtra, India, it is one of the prominent and unique tiger reserves in India and is also one among India's Project Tiger Reserves. It was established in 1935 and declared a national park in 1955. It has an attractive bio-diversity and is also famous for its rich heritage.The name 'Tadoba' is the name of the God "Tadoba" or "Taru", praised by the tribal who live in the dense forests of Tadoba and Andhari region, while Andhari is the river that meanders through the forest gives the Andhari name.
The forest is categorized as Southern tropical Dry Deciduous Forest with teak as dominant species. The main associates of teak are Ain, Bija, Dhauda, Haldu, Salai, Semal, Tendu and Bamboo. Almost 40% area is covered with bamboo. Trees of Jamun, Mango, Arjun are found in the moist area. Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Gaur or Indian Bison, Barking Deer, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Wild Boar, Four-Horned Antelope, Wild Dog , Langoor, Nilgai, Marsh Crocodile are commonly sighted in the Tiger Reserve by the tourists.Ratel, Flying Squirrel, Palm Civet, Indian Civet, Leopard Cat, Rusty Spotted Cat, Pangolin and Jackal are also reported.

The Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is almost in the centre of India. It actually started life as the Tadoba National Park in 1955 and size of the park is about 625 sq km. This gem of a wildlife preserve is much more than just a National Park, the forests are better protected and guarded, the animal sightings are at closer quarters and of a high and frequent grade, and you have a very good chance of seeing the Tiger.. There are still six villages inside the reserve, awaiting rehabilitation outside the reserve, and numerous villages surrounding it — are predominantly tribal, with a sprinkling of other groups.
